The Zaand (short for Zaaaaaaaaand-9 a's) is the being produced after extensive amounts of boredom inside one's mind, that can become a split-personality. There is a physical being known as The Zaand (or Da Zaand) known to be somewhere in the UK. The split-personalities are known to resemble it.

Jack: Ever since that day at school when we had the 6 hour assembly because of the fire alarm, I've been feeling different during certain random times.

Zandatsu (斬奪 - "cut and take") was special technique used by Raiden during the World Marshal Incidents to extract fuel cell electrolytes from his enemies. By targeting their weak points in Blade Mode, Raiden was able to grab their power cores and recharge his FC and health instantly.
