A midsize sedan built by Mercedes Benz from 1975 to 1985. While the North American market only got the 300d, 240d and 280e due to the oil crisis, other markets also got the carbureted 200, 230, 250, a 200d diesel and fuel injected gas models like the 230e and the 280e. Models available were the w123 sedan, c123 coupe, s123 wagon, v123 lwb sedan and vf123 rolling chassis commonly used as hearses and ambulances. This body Mercedes is widely considered the best and most reliable car ever built.
