Kickass thrash metal band from the bay area. Formed in 1980, they were a hell of live act but delays in the release of their debut album, Bonded by Blood, probably prevented them from reaching a bigger audience. Kirk Hammett was a founding member of the band before moving on Metallica. Unlike Metallica and Megadeth, Exodus never changed their sound to appeal to a wider crowd (although they were disbanded for much of the 90s and early 2000s).
Exodus has had three different vocalists over the band's existence. The first, Paul Baloff, was only around for the 1982 demo and BbB. The second, Steve Souza (well known in metal circles), did five studio albums with Exodus before leaving in 2004. The third and current vocalist, Rob Dukes, has appeared on the past four Exodus recordings (including a remake of Bonded by Blood). Dukes, for whatever reason, is pretty unpopular amongst Exodus fans, due to his limited vocal range and fairly generic voice (and the fact that he used to be in a hardcore band).
Exodus discography: Unnamed demo (1982), Bonded by Blood (1985), Pleasures of the Flesh (1987), Fabulous Disaster (1989), Impact is Imminent (1990), Force of Habit (1992), Tempo of the Damned (2004), Shovel Headed Kill Machine (2005), The Atrocity Exhibiton: Exhibit A (2007), Let There Be Blood (2008), Exhibit B: The Human Condition (2010)

Guy #1: Exodus' first three albums, as well as Tempo of the Damned, are better than anything Metallica's ever put out.

Guy #1: *puts any of those four records on*

Popular 80's wordthrash/word metal band with hits like "Toxic Waltz" and "Pirahna." A lot more violent than Metallica were in their heyday, but still s second-tier act similar to Testament.

The second book of the bible. Made famous by a bad ass named Moses who split the red sea in half, just like I did to your mom's vagina last night.
