Cheval

Originally the French word for horse it is now American slang for a woman whom one dislikes or considers to be malicious or unpleasant because they have come between a once happy and serious relationship.

You and your boyfriend are in a serious relationship, and he suddenly breaks up with you. You find out later that a cheval was the reason for your parting.

Being cheval

Being cheval, mean that a person or a situation made you upset about something particular.
If humans will be more animals, your reaction will be automatically the same as a Horse who do noise with his mouth (squeal).

"Squeal - The horse usually squeals with its mouth closed. A squeal varies in length and loudness depending on the intensity of the situation. Often you hear a mare squeal when she did not like something that is happening or is being courted by a male."
