Jesse Woodson James. A famous outlaw in the American West in the 1800's. Him and his brother Frank James served as guerrillas in the American Civil War. After the war, Jesse along with his brother, formed a gang of outlaws. The James-Younger gang. They went on a 15 year crime spree in 1866, robbing numerous banks and trains and committing murders, until Jesse James was shot and killed in 1882 by Bob Ford, a member of his gang. Ford collected a $10,000 reward for the betrayal. Jesse's brother, Frank James later turned himself in.
