One of the 4 non-Spanish speaking countries in the Continent of South America. We speak Dutch over there because we are a former colony of the Netherlands. However, we have our own english-based creole, which is called Sranan Tongo. Suriname is home to people from Asian, Indian, or African backgrounds.
Fun Fact: Suriname has a street where a mosque is adjacent to a synagogue
