One of the most legendary singing groups of all time. Became famous in the 1960's as part of the Motown Record machine. Signed by Barry Gordy, Otis Williams, Paul Williams(no relation to Otis) Eddie Kendricks, Melvin Franklin and Elbridge "Al" Bryant were the original Temptations. Struggling to get a hit off their first records, it wasn't until Bryant was kicked out of the group and solo artist David Ruffin joined the group that The Temptations became known by the songs like My Girl and Ain't Too Proud To Beg. Ruffin left/was kicked out in the late 60's and replaced by Dennis Edwards. The Temptations still were recording hits, and went on to record Grammy-winning records. Eddie Kendricks was not satisfied with the "psychedelic funk" the group was shifting towards, as he felt it wasn't keeping true to what made the Temps who they were. The last song Kendricks recorded with the group was the classic Just My Imagination. The last great song that the group recorded period was Papa was a Rolling Stone, which was one of Edwards' last songs with the group, and featured Otis Williams and Melvin Franklin along with Richard Street( a singer from the early days pre-Ruffin, P. Williams and Kendricks who replaced Paul Williams) and new falsetto Damon Harris replacing Eddie Kendricks. After Papa, the group recorded a few good songs, did a reunion tour, suffered hard deaths, and have not lived up to the fame of their 60's hayday.

Get the the temptations mug.
A United States Navy Submarine that you seriously do NOT want to fuck with. Armed with the latest and best technology, 26 Trident nuclear warhead ballistic missles (named so because they are armed with 3 warheads) capable of being essentially invisible in the water. The one ship that every enemy country fears that is in the United States Arsenal. Capable of also shooting down nuclear missles, it is truly one bad ass fighting machine. You have to be the cream of the crop of sub-mariners to serve on this ship, because of its superiority and its reputation and how seriously bad-ass a force not to be fucked with it is. No other submarine in the world is a match for this bad boy. The location of the submarine except when it is in port is at the level of "Above Top Secret". You picked the wrong submarine and group of sub-mariners to fuck with choosing to go against this sub.
The submarine Kentucky is a nuclear-armed bad-ass machine of warfare, don't fuck with it.

Don't EVER piss the USA off or push the nuclear warhead launch button, because the U.S.S. Kentucky submarine will not only shoot your rocket/missile down, but they will completely fuck your day over.

Get the U.S.S. Kentucky mug.
One of the last great songs by The Temptations. By this time, 1972, The Temptations were far removed from their romantic-chart topping ballads of the 1960's such as My Girl, Ain't Too Proud To Beg, I Wish It Would Rain, I'm Losing You and Beauty's Only Skin Deep, and were more into what became known as Psychedelic Funk, which was something that caused Eddie Kendricks to leave the group as he felt it wasn't keeping true to what made the Temps great. The song was sung by Lead singer Dennis Edwards(one of his last songs as a Temp), falsetto and newcomer Damon Harris(replaced Kendricks), originals Otis Williams and Melvin Franklin, and Richard Street(replacing Paul Williams and was with the guys pre-Temptations days), the music was played by a combination of The Funk Brothers(with the Temps from the beginning) and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Recorded in 1972 at Motown, Studio A, it was a 6:54 single edit and 12:02 album edit song. Sang entirely in B-flat minor, very unusual for a song to stay in one key. Won 3 Grammy's, peaked at number 1. A great song overall
Papa Was A Rolling Stone, Wherever he laid his hat was his home, and when he died, all he left us was alone.

The song Papa Was A Rollin' Stone is one of the Temptations most recognized songs

"Dude, I was so high last night, and that song Papa Was A Rolling Stone played, and the music man, totally trippin balls and I could see the music. TOTALLY AWESOME"
