...And Justice For All

1. The last four words of The Pledge of Allegiance
2. An awesome Metallica album, from 1988.
1. John had to say the pledge of allegiance in front of his class the other day. He farted when he got to ...and justice for all.
2. Three great songs from ...And Justice For All are Blackened, Harvester of Sorrow, and To Live is to Die.

lord of the rings

Lord of the Rings is a masterpiece. It was originally intended to be all one book, but it was divided into three books, and each separate book is divided into two books (confused yet?). The story actually begins in "The Hobbit," where Bilbo Baggins discovers the One Ring in Gollum's lair (which, at the time, was in a cavern within the Misty Mountains). Then in "The Fellowship of the Ring," Bilbo grants the ring to his nephew, Frodo, and then departs to start a new and relaxed life (but they soon meet up in Rivendell). Gandalf teaches Frodo that the One Ring was forged in the fires of Mount Doom for the Dark Lord, Sauron. Three rings were given to the Elves, seven to the dwarves, and nine to the men, but it was the One Ring that could mean peril to all that is good in Middle Earth if it was brought back into the hands of the Dark Lord. Frodo had to return it to the one place it could be destroyed, Mount Doom, in the heart of Mordor. Frodo originally sets off with Pippin, Sam, and Merry. They find themselves in Rivendell, where the council of Elrond takes part. Elrond adds Boromir, Aragorn, Legolas, Gandalf, and Gimli to Frodo's party, and they become the Fellowship. To read of their perilous adventures through Middle Earth is to take an adventure through the ancient trees of Lorien, to journey through the dank darkness of Moria, and to wade in the waters of the sacred Nimrodel. If you're into fantasy, then Lord of the Rings is for you.
One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them, one ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them...

stephen king

Stephen King is an amazing writer. His novels can be described as horror/mystery/drama. Sometimes when authors write horror novels and try to be gory, they fail miserably and end up writing tasteless crap, but King adds a certain descriptiveness to his gory scenes that I've hardly seen any other authors do. Another thing that sets his work apart is that some authors just add a bunch of filler to their novels, but he delivers the random information to the audience in a way that actually helps the story flow. Those are two reasons why I think Stephen King is one of the greatest authors.
Some of Stephen King's work includes Carrie, It, Cujo, The Shining, Desperation, and The Green Mile (the last two being my favorites). A superb movie was made of The Green Mile, and I hope they make a movie of Desperation someday, too.

metallica

Metallica is a legendary metal band whose music can be found under such genres as metal, thrash, and garage. They formed in California in the early 1980's with the original lineup of James Hetfield (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Lars Ulrich (drums), Dave Mustaine (lead guitar), and Ron McGovney (bass guitar). Ron wasn't exactly pulling his weight in the band, and he was replaced once they discovered Cliff Burton. Cliff would only join if the rest of the band moved to San Francisco, and so they did just that. Not long after, Dave was replaced with Kirk Hammett because of his alchohol problems. Metallica released their first album, Kill 'em All, in 1983. Then in 1984, Ride the Lightning was released. It seemed the band was heading for success when they released their third album, Master of Puppets, but their career nearly came to a halt with the tragic death of Cliff during a tour bus accident on September 27th, 1986 when they were on their way to Denmark. But Metallica soon found a new bassist (Jason Newsted)and released ...And Justice For All. By that time, they had entered of world of sex, drugs, and alchohol, but that didn't affect their music until much later. In 1991, their self-titled album, which is also known as the ''Black Album,'' was released and it became their best-selling album yet. Then in 1996, Load was released, followed by Reload in 1997. In 1998, they released Garage Inc., a compilation of cover songs originally done by artists such as The Misfits, Thin Lizzy, Nick Cave, Mercyful Fate, and Diamondhead. A year later they released another compilation called S&M, which is a bunch of their songs performed live with the San Francisco orchestra, including several songs that aren't on any of their albums such as No Leaf Clover, Ecstasy of Gold, and -Human. Not long after that, James went to rehab for eight months on account of his alchohol problems. And by that time, Jason had left the band because of personal reasons and also to launch his new band, Echobrain. To add to their problems, Lars had recently filed a lawsuit against Napster because their songs were being sold online for free, therefore they were losing money. Because of that, some of their fans got angry and turned against them. James returned from rehab in time to record Metallica's most current album, St. Anger, at the Presidio, a military base that's no longer in use. Bob Rock, their producer, played bass on that album since they had not yet found Robert Trujillo, their replacement for Jason. Around this time, they released a documentary called Some Kind of Monster that talks mostly about their struggles as a band and the counseling they've gone through. All in all, Metallica is a great band that has withstood the test of time and will most likely be around for many more years.
Metallica is an awesome band.

Master of Puppets

Master of Puppets is Metallica's third album. It was released in 1986, which is the same year that bassist Cliff Burton died in a tragic bus accident on September 27th. Master of Puppets includes Battery, Master of Puppets, The Thing That Should Not Be, Welcome Home (Sanitarium), Disposable Heroes, Leper Messiah, Orion, and Damage Inc. It is arguiably one of Metallica's best albums.
''Master of puppets, I'm pulling your strings, twisting your mind and smashing your dreams. Blinded by fear, you can't see a thing. Just call my name 'cause I'll hear you scream: master, master! Just call my name 'cause I'll hear you scream: master, master!''

H.P. Lovecraft

One of the most brilliant minds in literature of all time. H.P. Lovecraft's work can be categorized as horror, Gothic, fantasy, and mystery. With influences by the captivating and mysterious work of the artist, Sidney H. Sime and the ethereal dream-worlds of the author, Lord Dunsany, H.P. Lovecraft's work is the epitome of great Gothic literature. Some of his works include Dagon, The Shadow Over Innsmouth, The Cats of Ulthar, The Doom That Came to Sarnath, At the Mountains of Madness, The Thing on the Doorstep, and the infamous The Call of Cthulhu. Lovecraft's stories continue to spark the imaginations of authors today. There are countless modern Cthulhu Mythos and movies based on his stories. But nothing can come close to the original work of H.P. Lovecraft.

Kill em all

Kill 'em All is Metallica's debut album. It came out in 1983 and it's tracklist is (in the following order) Hit the Lights, The Four Horsemen, Motorbreath, Jump in the Fire, (Anesthesia)-Pulling Teeth, Whiplash, Phantom Lord, No Remorse, Seek and Destroy, and Metal Militia. It also includes the covered songs, Am I Evil (originally done by Diamondhead) and Blitzkrieg (originally done by Blitzkrieg).
Kids who claim to be Metallica fans but think the Black Album is their debut album are ignorant because Kill 'em All is their first album.
