n: a person or group of people who will support the claims/do the biddings of their 'hull' (leader) whether or not he/she is right or his/her requests are reasonable.

Often seen in card game communities or the MMORPG arena. (I.E. Magic the Gathering or W.o.W.)

Ex. 1:

Fred the Hull: Hey barnacle - go get me a soda and then give me all of your rares!

Branden the Barnacle: Sure thing, Fred! You want my card sleeves too?

Ex. 2:

Fred the Hull: Hey, Branden - I need some water essences. Want to farm them for me?

Branden the Barnacle: Sure thing!

Fred the Hull: God, I love having barnacles.

Barnacle

An individual (or individuals) whose presence is constant, annoying, unwanted and, most of all, seemingly impossible to free oneself from. The best way to avoid a Barnacle is by way of a "Barnacle Alert," typically administered by SMS or similar technological means. This serves to warn the recipient that a Barnacle is in the area and to steer clear. Barnacles are notorious for flouting the law, so overall it's best to steer clear of them.

"Oh, man, I can't believe you got stuck with the Barnacles last night!"

"Wow! You got Barnacled last night?"

"Can you believe the Barnacles turned up tonight?"

"Who did they Barnacle this time?!"

Barnacle

A person who attaches themselves to any living being surrounding them as a form of comfort. Cuddling, spooning and snuggling are also correct terms. A barnacle latches on to anyone in sight and does not let go.

Cheyenne: Oh hey kirsten! How are you?
