Väisänen

Väisänen is a family name.

Ethymologically it comes from the Carelian word väisä which comes from the german word "Weiser" meaning both a wise person but also a road sign or a person who gives out directions.

People born into the Väisänen family are born leaders who know how to maneuver any situation thanks to their downpast family wisdom.

They are the people you look for when you are in need of advice, the beacon of hope the people need to not stray from the right path.

My family and I are friends with the Väisänens and they always care for us and know how to approach life. I've asked them for advice countless times, they are basically the only reason I am still alive and sane.

abandonware

n. software that is no longer sold or supported by the original publisher / developer, often found as free downloads on the internet because it cannot be obtained elsewhere. Not legal, but often seen as morally acceptable because the company that made it is no longer selling the title, nor releasing it as freeware, therefore abandonware is "keeping the game alive", so to speak.

Doom II is not abandonware because id still sells it, while The Incredible Machine is not sold, therefore is abandonware.
