Warren: So cool you got this great new job from a contact you made almost 20 years ago.
Bruce: Ya, I met her at a networking event in 2006 right after my first promotion to get invited a trade show she hosted. Love that we stayed in touch and she recommended me for this role.
Warren: That's White Collar Compound Interest paying off, Brosef.

It's just... never interesting. You shouldn't be needing to tell the other person it's interesting if it actually was.
Someone: "You see, the INTERESTING thing is..."
Me: "No. Just... no."
Someone; "But it actually is interesting! I was going to talk to you about the joys of being a stock manager!"
Me: *Dies*

The professional, “I can’t tell it like it is” way of saying - “you’re a fucking moron and what you’re doing is some of the dumbest shit I have heard this decade”

Someone passive interest(ed) is someone who is desperate for something but doesn't show any signs of interest in that something, basically asking them to help achieve the person the something he wants but acting cool and not worried on it.
Desperate boi : oh man, tbh I dont care about being the leader of the clan. But hey if you want to vote me go ahead.
Random user in chat: my friend I know you want it. You have a Passive Interest on being the leader of the clan.

Once digital movie-cameras got perfected to da point dat they actually delivered superior images to film, da celluloid-manufacturers were understandably less-than-thrilled about it; definitely a little conflickt of interest there.
