Get the Internet archivemug. A nickname given to edgy bands like Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, Skillet, Evanscence, Papa Roach, Three Days Grace, System of a Down, Godsmack, Taproot, Limp Bizkit, P.O.D, Disturbed, Alien Ant Farm, Drowning Pool, and 30 Seconds to Mars to name a few.
Most of the times Edgecore bands are Nu Metal but can also be Alternative Rock/Metal, Rap Rock, and others like that.
It has similar characteristics as Emo music like sining about depression and stuff like that, but they are incredibly different genres.
It can also be given to only one song such as Radiohead’s Creep or Meg & Dia’s Monster.
Edgecore has nothing to do with Straight Edge.
