9 times out of 10, the "politically correct" way of referring to a Black person, even one who has never set foot outside of the US, and was born here. A completely misleading term for a couple of reasons:

1) the phrase implies you were born in Africa and then moved to the US. While that's the case for some, such as model Alek Wek, someone such as Chris Rock or myself, born in the US, is BLACK.

2) despite the stereotype, there ARE white people originally from Africa who move to the US, i.e. actress Charlize Theron. Although the phrase was coined primarily for Blacks, techically, Theron IS an African-American, or at least, more African-American than I am, in the literal sense of the word.

The word is a roundabout way of calling someone Black because "Black" is considered offensive, even though the late James Brown said to "Say it loud...I'm Black and I'm proud." Even when someone says the term, you can tell they're trying their best to tiptoe around being offensive.
1. Presidential hopeful Barack Obama could be considered African-American, as his father is from Kenya. Jesse Jackson, on the other hand, is Black.

2. "Did you know that, in 2002, Denzel Washington and Halle Berry became the first African-Americans to win Best Actor and Actress Oscars in the same year?"
---"No, but I know they became the first BLACKS to win that award. Charlize Theron is the first African-American to win a Best Actress Oscar."

Get the African-American mug.
Saturday Night Live parody of the 80s TV show MacGyver. Like with MacGyver, the title character in this sketch uses common household items to help get out of danger, usually an impending explosion. One difference is that MacGruber needs something fairly disgusting to help carry out the task (i.e. a dog turd or human pube).

MacGruber and other characters spend so much time arguing that the room they're in explodes.
I'm not handing you that dog turd, MacGruber!

Okay, I'll get it myself.

ka-BLOOM!

The Phil & Jo show, a popular show on Zoom TV for high schoolers, aired only once but they filmed multiple episodes. It was canceled by Administrators due to inappropriate behavior because Jo, the host of the show, accidently showed a pornographic image.
As the students sat quietly they watched the Phil & Jo Show relentlessly.

R&B song parody that Justin Timberlake performed on Saturday Night Live (otherwise known as SNL). The main part of the video contains Timberlake and SNL cast member Andy Samberg dancing with Christmas-wrapped boxes, attached to their genitals. Probably one of SNL's best sketches in at least 10 years, and makes me forget about the Nipplegate incident of 2004.

2. Put your junk in the box!

Get the brangelina mug.
Something that people claim to do when they supposedly want to speak their mind. Used often on the Internet by people who are about as quiet as a church mouse in real life.

Now, on the other hand, there are people who thinking that keeping it real is synonymous with being an asshole or bitch. They say that most people can't handle such realness, and usually get offended when you "keep it real" by calling them such. All in all, most people just don't wanna deal with such childishness, contrary to what they tell you.
1. You talk trash to me in the chat, and I'll put a virus on your ass! I'm just keeping it real! r0xx0rs! w00t! l33t!11! Cyber-thuggin' baby!!1

2. You're not on my level. I'm just keeping it real.
