The flash era was a time of good memes flash games/animations and newgrounds, it was a good time and no one can change that. Albino black sheep also was a thing and so was animutation. Charlie the unicorn, salad fingers, and lamas with hats came out of that. With some other famous ones like ultimate showdown. free online games were called "Flash Games" and kids were praised not being called stupid 12 year olds. Great games like stick war came out of it. The main kicker for this era was newgrounds and the portal. But so was Albinoblacksheep(my personal favourite) where stuff was submitted not through a portal but a forum. Oh and Numa Numa dance was big. It was great!

No not a fucking game of thrones character. He is one of the greatest English doctors. Look him up, he contributed to the study of chloroform and Cholera. (The Broad Street Pump epidemic.) He was against the idea of miasma.
