Conterary to popular belief, punk rock is not Blink 182, GC, Billy Talant, etc. Punk rock is much more then that. Punk rock isn't 'punks singing rock'. Oh no. If thats the case there would be 'prep rock'. Punk rock is fast paste, short music, with songs about 2 minutes each, and in concert, the band could sing the whole c.d. in about 20 minutes. THATS punk rock.

Punk rock is a very good sound of music. Started in the 70s with "Ramones" but didnt really get to good untill the british made it better. It has been dead. for along time. Deals with anti conformity, anti establishment, about anti everything. It is all about haveing fun and fucking the system.

A loud fast rock music that usually deals with issues of depression, cutting your self, crying, and being a friendless loser. They have long straight dyed hair and both sexes wear tight pants and have a lot of striped and checkered paterns. Punk rockers shop at punk stores like Hot Topic and buy all the latest gothic punk styles from the greatest punk store on earth 1976-2006 30 years of punk. ROCK ON!!
Avril Lavigne, Senses Fail, Hawthorne Heights, Silverstien, My Chemical Romance, The Used, Coheed and Cambria, Fall Out Boy ect. are all examples of punk rock music.

A musical style and anarchistic movement, which, contrary to fans of Green Day, has no connection with protesting and left wing idealism. That thinking is for hippies and PUNKS BURN HIPPIES! The craftsman of British Punk Rock was Malcom McClaren and his S&M inspired band: the sex pistols. True punks will be fond readers of the Anarchist's cookbook and will spend most of their time in S&M clubs watching bands who like avoiding competition.
