If a source that finds the meme is deemed “mainstream” or it becomes too well-known (mainstream) the Anti-Mainstreamers collectively flock to a new meme, basically abandoning it. Both of the times that the surge in Anti-Mainstreamers happened, it made a negative impact of the Meme Cycle. (SlimeTok and NicheTok)
