Small town midwesterners that gather in large groups, who have no boundaries, but are often very friendly people.

Townies often consume lots of trulys, hangout at Walmarts and see college towns as sprawling urban jungles.

When at college townies gather together to form fake household families, that often result in numerous petty family feuds.

Townies also try to keep track of how many days they have been sober, as they lose track of their consumption of trulys & busch lattes.

Don’t invite them, they are all townie’s.

Someone who often attends Buc Thursday in Tulsa, OK. Specifically, townies are the types of people who smoke cigs inside, play pool, and start bar fights. Kinda rough around the edges! Being a townie is something to kinda be proud of though. The Buc bouncers and bartenders will all know your name by the end of your four years at TU. If you are a real Buc townie, you will continue going to the Buc on non-Thursdays and after you graduate from TU.

Kenny: wow that guy nick goes to the Buc every Thursday! The bouncer didn’t even card him tonight.
Me: yeah! That’s because he is a real Buc townie!

Dense Suburban “cute” town with a upscale charming downtown setting with tons of restaurants, breweries, wine tasting rooms, art galleries, pastry shops, cocktail bars. The New York of New Jersey but nicer and charming with a sense of community: Cranford-Westfield-Summit-Millburn. Townie Town refers to more than just a town you live in but the feeling it of community and connection it brings.

I love living in a townie town! There’s so much to do in downtown! You can grab your coffee and pastry and sit on a bench in the circle under the clock with the passing sounds of the train. (This is more than just any town with a train. The feeling is more like being on a movie set)
