Cafeteria Catholicism

Derogatory term referring to religious individuals who follow the Catholic faith and pick and choose which doctrines of the Church they wish to follow and which ones they don't.
"Well, I'm against abortion, euthanasia, and homosexual marriages... But contraceptives are alright in my book."

Cafeteria Christian 

One who chooses which customs of christianity to follow, in the same manner as one who chooses only the tastiest food at a cafeteria.
dude-man: "I choose to pray for a raise and celebrate christmas, but not the bit about killing nonbelievers."

guy-fellow: "i guess that makes you a cafeteria christian, huh?"

cafeteria nazi 

a lunch lady at Elk Grove High School that serves you bad food, gives you a hard time, demands exact change, or trys to charge you for napkins. They are scheming to take over the world, led by the one with short black hair that look like Moe from the Three Stooges.
Run before they see you leaving through the entrance!

cafeteria syndrome 

When you spend too much time in the cafeteria. The cafeteria is the only place people see you and you creep them out. Common symptoms are add and craziness.
You see that girl in the caf today?
Ya I never see her out.
Ya. She definitely has cafeteria syndrome.
Shes such a creeper.

cafeteria catholic 

A Catholic individual, typically poorly catechised, from the Latin Rite or other. Said Catholic will pick and choose what he chooses to believe in in regards to the faith. Typically they will deny or mutilate revealed truths in order to justify their sinful lifestyles.
John is a cafeteria Catholic, he believes in the Magesterium but he thinks women should be allowed to be ordained.
