When you get screwed or fleeced by someone who is of far inferior intelligence. It occurs not because you were outsmarted but because you use this person as your agent. Often it ends up badly for everyone but the mirse can't figure out why and in fact thinks they did a good job.

I thought I made a lot of money on that football game but i got mirsed by my friend that bet the wrong team.

Origin unknown. I first heard it in an email thread.

Sam has been smoking weed all day and when I told him that he should stop for the day, he told me that I was being a prick. He was acting like such a mir mir!
