Grief tragedy sympathy hope

Hopefully instead of cops everywhere reacting with rage over the news about deaths of young fellow officers, they treat their lives as people treated the life of George Floyd, even if these guys didn't look like you, they were just people that wanted to improve the lives of the people around them and they were happy to be alive trying to do that when they were alive. The grief tragedy sympathy hope industry tries to make horror or shock stories to headline the news, and really that does more harm than anything else to what these folks were really about, to focus on things like death all the time.
People that look like anybody can end up like these New York City cops, but how often do you hear much about their lives besides a few seconds on the news, then there is another story. The grief tragedy sympathy hope industry might want you to feel a certain way (sad, angry) about something, but they don't tell you that you don't have to if you don't want to.

City

New York and other cities in the east weren't torn down and started from scratch, they went from woodland to city over time, but were built earlier than cities out west or down south because they had harbors to grow around. They were dense before there were cars (New York, Philly, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, and even DC/Baltimore) , while cities like Atlanta and even LA were still small towns in the country (or by the sea). Why would anyone expect Atlanta to develop more like New York on a grid when it was never meant to be, since Atlanta and New York have different histories, as do most cities.
Every city is different. If every city had what every other city had, nobody would travel, since there would be no point.

New order

In just a couple years TV for kids went from Ninja Turtles to Power Rangers, so what do people think the new order of kids that grew up on Power Rangers and Barney the Purple Dinosaur are going to do with the world if they get the New Kingdom they are trying to make happen?
The New Order of kids actually thought the Power Rangers was awesome when it came out, which is a lot like describing secret police or SS as awesome. They also thought Barney the purple dinosaur was awesome, which is just plain disturbing. These are the kinds of kids that got ideas from watching the 90's show that had a goofy song with a line "Brother for sale, 25 cents" on how to make the dollar signs in their eyes from a young age.

Tonya Harding's friends

You can see how it benefits Tonya Harding to have friends that will intervene in disputes between her and other people, but it's hard to see how any of these folks she calls friends benefit any from the relationship, or being known as Tonya Harding's friends. It seems like you'd be guilty by association if you had ties to Tonya Harding, and eople knew about it.
The people that were called Tonya Harding's friends didn't seem too thrilled about the label.

Narcissist

Someone that thinks of themself as a shepard/shepardess, someone people wouldn't make it without.
The bubbly girl thought she single handedly built the skyline of a city she wasn't even originally from, and that people that were originally from that city owed her something for it, because she was a true narcissist. She was always the kind of person quick to talk about somebody else's inflated sense of worth, but couldn't see her own, or her own double standards for what they were. She could see through the rungs of everyone's ladders but her own.

Russia

Relations with Russia are a joke, a few years ago, not even long enough for people to forget, Russia was America's best friend. Now they are the enemy and the United States wants to punish them.
If ever frienemy was a real word, that would be what Russia is. Thank god frienemy is not a real word.

Waiting

Another hard thing to do, like not trying to do better under pressure at times when you think you know you can. It's especially hard when you have an opponent that doesn't have much self control and wants you to rush into do things when they want you to do them (on their terms). No matter how far ahead the rabbit gets, it's hard to stay slow and steady and not give up when you have every indication that you should hurry or have a sense of urgency.
Waiting is hard because everybody has human impulses.
