There were dark days of terror and despair, many lands were lost to foes, but in the end the triumph was their's. An empire that was lost, had been regained. A flame long snuffed out, was rekindled. A glory once tarnished, had been reborn.

The Byzantine Empire was once known as the Later Roman Empire.
