A term coined by Tom Waits. It's quite obviously just heart attack without a space, but it is taken to mean a life and death of shit and revelry. The word was used in the title for his 1980 album, Heartattack and Vine, which had a song of the same name.
An excerpt from Heartattack And Vine
From the album Heartattack And Vine
by Tom Waits,
"See that little Jersey girl in the see-through top
With the peddle pushers sucking on a soda pop
Well I bet she's still a virgin but it's only twenty-five 'til nine
You can see a million of 'em on heartattack and vine
Better off in Iowa against your scrambled eggs
Than crawling down Cahuenga on a broken pair of legs
You'll find your ignorance is blissful every goddamn time
You're waitin' for the RTD on heartattack and vine"

1. The thirteenth song on Tom Waits' 2004 album, Real Gone.
2. Sort of like Hook, Line and Sinker, this is supposed to mean everything.

Well my baby ’s so fine
Even her car looks good
From behind
Oh yeah!
Well my baby ’s so fine
Even her car looks good
From behind
But the train that took
My baby…
It went Clang, Boom and Steam
Even her car looks good
From behind
Oh yeah!
Well my baby ’s so fine
Even her car looks good
From behind
But the train that took
My baby…
It went Clang, Boom and Steam

A phrase that is used by Americans. Sadly it is no longer true, but to this day the Government forces people believe it is.

1. The Ninth song on Tom Waits' 1988 live album, Big Time.
2. A phenomenon that occurs as a cliche everywhere in real life, as well as Hollywood and books. Strangers only talk about the weather, for the most part, no matter what the situation is.

Excerpt from Strange Weather-
The world is getting flatter,
The sky is falling all around
Oh, and nothing is the matter
For I never cry in town
And a love like ours, my dear,
Is best measured when it's down
And I never buy umbrellas,
'Cause there's always one around.
And all over the world Strangers
Talk only 'bout the weather
The world is getting flatter,
The sky is falling all around
Oh, and nothing is the matter
For I never cry in town
And a love like ours, my dear,
Is best measured when it's down
And I never buy umbrellas,
'Cause there's always one around.
And all over the world Strangers
Talk only 'bout the weather
