Nubbin 

An elderly person, usually with silver hair and many wrinkles. This term is used only in an affectionate manner. Most nubbins are well dressed and walk very slowly.

"It was 3p.m. at the diner, and it was full of nubbins eating pudding, cream of wheat, and applesauce."
