Extra Sensory Deception - the sensation of your cell phone going off in your pocket even though it's not there. Not to be confused with ESP or Extra Sensory Perception, being aware of something without any tangible contact, like clairvoyance or telepathy.

Extra Sensory Deception - or ESD - is the sensation of your cell phone vibrating in your pocket or holster, even though it's not there.
I just had some Extra Sensory Deception. I reached into my pocket to answer my phone but it wasnt there. It was sitting on the desk across the room! Damn ESD!
