'Throw me an oop' is an abbreviation of alley-oop, an alley-oop is a high pass or transfer given to a leaping teammate or team player who tries to dunk before touching the ground; a basketball term used to codify that you are asking your fellow friend to highly regard you to a person of their liking before they get shot down by asking on their own.
