Endurance is a type of racing event where multi-class cars compete in a very long race. Most endurance races have a time duration, but some can be raced in distance (ex, the 1000 Miles of Sebring).
The competing class are most of the time prototypes and GT cars, with the prototypes being the fastest.
The most popular endurance race is the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The most popular endurance championship is the WEC (World Endurance Championship). Other famous endurance races are the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, the 24 hours of Daytona, the 12 hours of Sebring and many others. Another famous endurance championship is the IMSA, that races on the United States.
